Genetic Denim Autumn/Winter 2010 Looks

Genetic Denim is one of my favourite brands. The denim is soft and of good quality, washes well, retains its shape and unlike J Brand where the inseam even on their skinny jeans are ridiculously long (unless you happen to be 6ft), Genetic’s inseam are just perfect so no need for alterations.

I own three pairs now, and the one below named The Shane cigarette in Torn (inseam: 32.5ins, $198), is one of my favourites as I love rips in my jeans but my mum doesn’t get that, so these are not too ripped and the dark denim is perfect for dressing up and down in. I bought mine off a website called www.shopbop.com who are based in the USA, but they offer free international delivery in 3 days or less (yes, it was delivered to me in that time-frame), and I could track my shipment at anytime, what I saved in delivery, I paid in customs tax, but it was only a small charge.

This slim cigarette jean has been out for a while and has been spotted on quite a few celebs including Halle Berry & Beyonce. It fits true to size for me, not too tight and not too loose. It seems that this is one of their popular styles and is featured again in Genetic’s lookbook for this fall.

The two other styles that I can’t wait to come out and am contemplating buying are The Twiggy jean in Strip (Inseam: 32.5ins, $198), same cigarette type leg as the Shane but has a mid-rise and so perfect for wearing shirts with (as the model is wearing below).

Finally, Genetic’s The Cass (Inseam: 32.5 ins, $198) has slashes in the knee and look really cool and edgy (below).

I love all three of their cigarette styles, I know I’ll wear these all through Autumn/Winter with a pair of pretty heels and a silk blouse for evenings out, and a jumper & ankle boots during the day.

Where you can buy: Both offer international shipping, but shopbop currently offer free international delivery within 3 days.
